Worry and griefاللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِAllahumma inni a‘udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-‘ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa dala‘id-daini wa ghalabatir-rijal.O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by others.Sahih al-Bukhari 6369, narrated by Anas ibn Malik

Dua in times of distress

Distressلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِLa ilaha illallahul-‘Azimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu rabbul-‘arshil-‘azim. La ilaha illallahu rabbus-samawati wa rabbul-ardi wa rabbul-‘arshil-karim.There is none worthy of worship except Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is none worthy of worship except Allah, Lord of the mighty Throne. Dua of Yunusلَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَLa ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin.There is none worthy of worship except You; glory be to You; indeed something unfitting came from me.Quran, Al-Anbiya 21:87. English meaning based on Kanz-ul-Iman (Imam Ahmad Raza Khan). The Prophet ﷺ said no Muslim calls with it for anything except that Allah answers him (Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi 3505).
