Welcome to Madni Qaida in English Page 13 at Learning Quraan. Lesson 2 shows what happens when two or more letters join together. The shapes change, usually keeping the head of the letter and dropping the body, so the dots become the key to recognising each one.
This page is part of Lesson 2: Huroof Murakkabat (Compound Letters). See every page on the Madni Qaida in English index, or learn with a teacher in our online Quran courses.
What is on Madni Qaida in English Page 13?
- The rules of the lesson: name each joined letter separately with an Arabic accent.
- A chart of two-letter joins such as لا, با, تا and سل.
- How to tell look-alike joined letters apart by their dots.
How to Practise This Page
- Name each joined letter separately, exactly as you did in Lesson 1.
- Use the dots to tell look-alike shapes apart (ب ت ث ن ي at the start of a word look almost the same).
- Point to each letter with a finger while reading so none is skipped.
